Hello, friends and fans!
Welcome to another “Peek At My Week” – January 15, 2024! Here are some things that happened this past week!
News About Writing & Publishing: This Is The Current State Of Things
- Writing: Still none for the new year! That’s right, I haven’t written a single word in a story since late November! I’m still enjoying a well-earned break from writing! In fact, I’m keeping myself occupied with hobbies and other activities. I’ll most likely get back to writing towards the end of my holiday, or after. I’ll be sure to let you know.
- Publishing: I was invited by Lu Evans to contribute a short story to an upcoming anthology which will be made available in several languages (which implies translation!) including English, Spanish and Portuguese under the title “Cidades Inversas”! I sent her “It Happened In Late October”, and as soon as this anthology comes out, I’ll be sure to let you know! Also, as I informed you last time, a new anthology entitled “The Science Fiction Novelists 2024 SciFi Anthology” will be released on 20 February 2024, containing two of my short stories (“The Storming Of Area 51” and “It Happened In Late October”). Keep an eye out for it!
- What Readers Say: I know I can’t please everybody (so I’m not trying to!). That said, it really pleases me when I see that I’ve managed to do it anyway! Drop me a line and let me know how you think I’m doing – or leave me a review on Amazon or Audible!
- Latest Releases:“Freedom Inc” (book 1 in my new sci-fi adventure series, “Threaders“) is now available in eBook and paperback formats via Amazon, my Shop – BUT you can get the whole 100,180 word tome for FREEif you sign up to be my patron on OR on !

Other Stuff
Two weeks back, Kay went in for some minor surgery and came home the next day, and I’ve been kept busy looking after her ever since! Fortunately she’s a very fast healer, so as time went by the workload in that respect has become less and less, freeing up my time in the last week to invest it in some other pursuits!
Tina’s Tech Tips – A YouTube Adventure!
For a while I’ve been wondering how to draw more traffic to my YouTube channel – and short ad vids and longer ones featuring me droning on about my writing, or myself, or my books just don’t seem to be cutting the mustard! Having been watching a lot of PC tech videos on YouTube lately (as one does while on holiday!) I started to think about starting up something like that myself! After all, if other people can do it, why not me? I mean, there’s very little in this world I can’t do, right? Algebra being one of them, but that’s another story!
Having put a good deal of thought into this idea, I then put my burst of inspiration into setting up a workbench I could use for this purpose, and in making it look presentable for videos! Here are some photos of that process below:
As always, I’ll keep you posted about any new developments, so until then, I wish you all a pleasant week! For me, as I’m wrapping this up, I’m still on vacation – so I’ll be getting back to whatever I’m keeping myself busy with, and catch you later!
In spite of some of my books having been on Amazon since 2005, not one of them has yet reached the magical 51 reader reviews yet! (The highest number any of them has, is 10 – which is a pretty good number compared to many others, but it’s still not high enough for the almighty Amazon!) I would really appreciate your help on this! Come on, leave a review – it’s free!
