A Peek At My Week! #28

Good morning, friends and fans!

Welcome to another “Peek Into My Week”, a behind the scenes look into the (I hope) noteworthy events in my past week – November 08, 2021!

Anyway, on to some other things that happened this past week:

Writing & Publishing News:

This was a quiet week in terms of writing, editing & publishing. I was simply too busy at work to indulge in many writing-related activities this week. I do at least have a little news for you in this regard.

I’m still eagerly awaiting the impending release of several new audiobooks which have already been submitted to ACX for approval, including “Dead Man’s Hammer“, “Lifetime” and “Space Sucks!“. I’m also two thirds through with the 100k word editing project I’ve been doing for Moon Books Publishing. Hopefully I’ll be able to conclude that project this coming week!

Over at Hally Park Publishers, things are still grinding slowly over at their end. I still have no idea how many more times my dad’s first two books will be gone over by their editors (or why) – or when they will ever hit the shelves. Still, things are moving, even if they are a bit slow for my taste! On another front, Hally Park has also started a digital & print newspaper, and I’m due for an interview in the second edition, so I’ll be sharing that with you as soon as it happens! As with previous weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time working on my car again this past week, details next.

Project D.O.L.L.Y. Again:

I’m still awaiting a number of new tools and parts to finish this project off properly. It will still be some time before they arrive in the mail, but in the meantime, there’s still a lot of things I’ve been working on, refining this and that, and I’ve included a few new photos below:

On Wednesday afternoon I managed to finish organizing the engine bay wiring into trunking sleeves to keep it all neat, tidy and out of the way. Once done with that, I also wrapped up the remaining wiring on the actual motor.

On Saturday I attended to a few smaller issues, including repainting the decklid or engine cover, the number plate light housing (called the Pope’s nose) and the brackets to which the hinges attach.

On Sunday I tied off a few more loose ends on Dolly’s motor, mostly cosmetic, and then stripped all the external parts off the core of the motor again. I packed all the parts close to the garage to refit them later once the motor is back in the car. Making it lighter makes it easier to carry back to the garage on the opposite end of the house! I’m almost out of stuff to do on this project while I await the arrival of the parts I ordered! Anyway, here are some more pictures for you to enjoy!

This coming week I need to finish the editing project for Moon Books, and if I get home early any day this week, I need to do a few more things on the bug. I set myself a few goals when I began, and I intend to reach them! I’m also hoping to get into the first edit of “Sentinel” soon as well.

That said, I wish you all a wonderful, restful day – and until next time, keep reading!

Cheers!
