A Peek At My Week! #70

Good morning, friends and fans!

Welcome to a “Peek Into My Week”! Here’s a look at some of my latest news: September 26, 2022!

Here are some things that happened in my life this past week:

News About Writing & Publishing: This Is The Current State Of Things

I have almost no news for you this week, and what little news I do have is not good. Sorry folks, but it is what it is. I’m not too happy about it either.

  • During last week, Darla Middlebrook (the narrator working on audiobooks of my Panic! Horror In Space series) experienced difficulty figuring out the software used by Spoken Realms to upload and finalize audio files. “Static” (the first audiobook in the series) is completed and ready for publishing, but as yet, I’m not sure if she will be able to overcome this obstacle! I really appreciate all Darla’s efforts and hope she will find a way through this difficulty. It’s disheartening to get stymied so late in the day and after having come so far. I hope to have more news soon (hopefully good) and will keep you posted.
  • Outstanding royalties for sales through Moon Books Publishing between January 2022, since Brandon’s death to date, have still not been finalized. I’m hoping that when it comes through, being nearly a whole year’s worth, it will be a sizable sum! These are tough times, and every bit helps!
  • I still have no idea what will happen to my existing audiobooks on ACX, if Elizabeth will be having them transferred between Moon Books Publishing’s ACX account to mine, or if that’s even workable – or if they will simply be taken down as the eBook and print versions of those books were. I am literally waiting to see what transpires and will probably be as surprised as you are when I pass on the news.

On the other hand, nothing much has changed this week, so there’s really nothing to be despondent about, is there?

Other Stuff:

I’ve been struggling a bit with allergies and the like over the past couple of weeks and have been feeling a bit poorly. This past weekend, I took it slow and easy to avoid feeling worse or prolonging it. As a writer I’m never short of ideas, and since I haven’t been much up to writing lately, I’ve been squirreling them away for future use.

That’s all for this week!

With that, I’m all out of news. As always, I’ll keep you posted about any further developments.

Thanks a lot for all your friendship and support, I hope you know it is all deeply appreciated. Until next time, keep reading!

Cheers!
