New Book Trailer – Blachart

South African female sci-fi

Hello friends and fans,

I thought I’d share my new book trailer for Blachart with you!

https://youtu.be/OGcxZpVAV7U

I did this, believe it or not, with PowerPoint and literally a couple of stock images as backgrounds. Some images I used were drawings done by me of course.

Like a look behind the scenes? Well, sure! Here we go:

The next video is a snippet of when the Antares arrives at the ruined Starbase 91, as you should be able to tell, it’s a scene on the bridge, with the main focus being on the devastated space station on the viewscreen.

The images were colored using a software app, and I used them in overlays to create the little sequence shown below in the snippet:

In the snippet below, you will see the I.S.S. Antares doing a pass in front of the ‘camera’.

Next, a slow pass from a different angle:

Of course, this is the same model I showed you previously, when I wrote about them last year. I had a great deal of fun making it, and learning new tricks in the latest version of PowerPoint to do it.

More about Blachart:

Life hardly ever turns out the way we expect it to, and for Mykl d’Angelo, skipper and owner of the loderunner Pegasus, it had just taken a bad turn for terrible.

Due a minor misunderstanding, his crew had stolen the ship’s only shuttle, leaving him and two others behind to crew the ailing ship on their own. As if that weren’t bad enough, just a few hours later the rickety old ship’s stardrive exploded in the middle of the middle of nowhere, killing Mykl’s two remaining crewmen.

Marooned alone in deep space, Mykl d’Angelo counted his blessings, offered prayers to any gods who specialized in miracles, and prepared to await (A) seemingly unlikely rescue, or (B) a lingering death…

Rescue takes place, but at a price – as the Antares, a cruiser dispatched to investigate the mysterious silence of a remote starbase, crosses paths with a legendary and fearsome Corsair – a man whose name sent shivers down the spines of lesser mortals.

Blachart… Blachart the Bloody.

What’s next?

Well, I’ve already almost finished the next book trailer for the next book in the series – “Demonspawn“, and that one was even more challenging to do! Stay tuned for more news on that soon!

Until next time, keep reading!

Cheers!
