Hello friends and fans!
In case you’re wondering what I’ve been up to the past few days, “Space Vacation” is the longest short story I’ve ever written (so far!) – at 14,067 words and 41 A4 pages! I started writing this from scratch on Monday and finished the edit this morning… that’s three days!
It’s the first ‘short’ in a long time. Considering I always used to battle to write longer stories to novel length, I’m happy to be stuck with the opposite problem! It will likely be included in the re-release of Space Sux, a compilation of shorts in the Galaxii Series, probably next year.
This was one of the short stories I’ve enjoyed writing the most. 🙂 In fact, I’ve had nothing but good feedback from friends I asked to read it to give me feedback.
One of them said: “You started my day with a boom with that fun read – and I was kinda running late. I started in bed, in the bath then on the bed and then halfway out the door, LOL I COULDN’T STOP!”
[“Space Vacation” was subsequently improved, lengthened and became part of “Life Signs” – book 2 in Panic! Horror In Space. (2019)]
Cheers!
