New Short Story Completed!

In case you’re wondering what I’ve been up to the past few days, “Space Vacation” is the longest short story I’ve ever written (so far!) – at 14,067 words and 41 A4 pages! I started writing this from scratch on Monday and finished the edit this morning… that’s three days!

It’s the first ‘short’ in a long time. Considering I always used to battle to write longer stories to novel length, I’m happy to be stuck with the opposite problem! It will be included in the re-release of Space Sux, a compilation of shorts in the Galaxii Series, probably next year.

This was one of the short stories I’ve enjoyed writing the most. 🙂 In fact, I’ve had nothing but good feedback from friends I asked to read it to give me feedback.

One of them said: “You started my day with a boom with that fun read – and I was kinda running late. I started in bed, in the bath then on the bed and then half way out the door LOL I COULDN’T STOP!”

[“Space Vacation” was subsequently improved, lengthened and included in “Life Signs” – book 2 in Panic! Horror In Space. (2019)]

A Little News

Hi there!

I just heard that one of my poems has been selected for inclusion in a South African anthology of youth poetry called “Words Of Wisdom” soon to be published by LIS Westonaria.

They hope to have it off the printing press by end January 2014 and launched sometime in February.

Otherwise I have been a little sidetracked with life and its issues.

I will be back on track soon again! 🙂

New Book Almost Ready!

Hi there.

I’m almost done with my next book – “Dead Beckoning“. Just a little more to go and then it will go up on Lulu.com.

“Dead Beckoning” is a tale of space piracy, friendship under fire, action and intrigue – and is the sequel to “Demonspawn” and “Blachart“.

Like all my books, it comes with a slice of my special warped humor, naturally. 😉

Hey There Fans!

Hey there fans!

It’s hard work promoting books without staff or literary agents to do it for you… but I suppose it should come as no surprise that services like that cost a hell of a lot of dosh – especially when you convert currencies from ZAR into $ or Euro’s. *phew*…

It’s so nice to get feedback from people who have read my work, and to feel like it’s appreciated and that somehow I’ve helped to make a difference in people’s lives – or at the very least that they enjoyed it!

My Author Site Is Now Up & Running!

Howdy, folks!
Yesterday I was extraordinarily proactive and (and productive)  and finished setting up my author website on WordPress. It’s called The Crow Bar, and the Shop is the landing page, which has a list of covers linked to my books as paperbacks and ebook downloads. The site is named after the bar at the spaceport on Deanna – The Crow Bar! Feel free to drop me a line or two via the Contact page! 🙂

Second Editions Now Available

Since I got really inspired yesterday, I finally got around to uploading all my second editions for “Blachart“, “Demonspawn“, “Space Sux“, “Black Sunrise“, “The Time Saving Agency“, “Dead Man’s Hammer” and “Loderunner“. I also designed new covers for them. Please note the order I listed them in above: this is the order in which the stories run.

There are still some more I need to upload once I have finished them – these will be first editions, new works which have never been released before. Some of these will slot in between the above listed titles, and some will simply continue after them. Here is a list for you folks to keep your eyes out for:

“Model 221: Assassinator”, “Dreams of Innocence”, “Dead Beckoning“, “The Last Hurrah”, “Sabretooth Dreams”, “High Steaks“, and “Daughters of Lorelei”.

New Things Coming!

Hi there! Most of you will notice that my books on GoodReads (there are still some missing) have been around since 2005. That’s almost ten years ago! My, how time flies!
Over the past year or so, I have been revamping and revising the Lulu editions for a mass re-release of all my books. Only one has an ISBN number so far, but I will also be obtaining ISBN numbers for the rest. Meanwhile, I have added covers and descriptions to the books on here. Please remember to rate the books, leave a review – and happy reading!
