Have You Read The Galaxii Series Yet?

Hello friends & fans! This is a brief introduction to the Galaxii Series by yours truly!

Galaxii is an epic futuristic saga that relates the struggles and adventures of diverse characters, each realistically portrayed with their own unique interests, circumstances, and each has their own challenges and obstacles to overcome: career-minded Space Fleet officers, solo adventurers and rogues, and Corsairs – the space pirates who made the space-lanes perilous to travel in their pursuit of autonomy, wealth and notoriety.

The series fits into the “space opera” and “adventure” sub-genres of science fiction, and in addition to this, her portrayal of LGBT characters fits her writing generally into the transgressive fiction genre.

Currently there are four titles in the Galaxii Series: “Blachart”, “Demonspawn”, “Dead Beckoning” and “Sentinel“. These are currently available in eBook, paperback, and hardcover formats via Amazon, with the first three also available in audiobook format!

Books in the series have received wonderful reviews from readers and reviewers alike, but the best so far has to be from reviewer Lee Hall who had this to say of “Blachart”, the first book in the series:

“Christina Engela delivers with this action-packed tale that introduces the Galaxii series; an expansive world of Imperial space fleets, distant planets, space pirates and beyond. From shootouts to car chases this book has everything fans of sci fi action could want. It’s imaginative, highly readable and fun, much like many of Christina Engela’s works which I highly recommend! 5 stars.Lee Hall, writer & reviewer.

Books in the series are available in eBook and print, with two already in audiobook format! You can read more about the series here. Titles in the series are displayed below:

Blachart” (Book 1)

Action! Adventure! Space Opera!

Life hardly ever turns out the way we expect it to, and for Mykl d’Angelo, skipper and owner of the loderunner Pegasus, it had just taken a bad turn for terrible.

Due a minor misunderstanding, his crew had stolen the ship’s only shuttle, leaving him and two others behind to crew the ailing ship on their own. As if that weren’t bad enough, just a few hours later the rickety old ship’s stardrive exploded in the middle of the middle of nowhere, killing Mykl’s two remaining crewmen.

Marooned alone in deep space, Mykl d’Angelo counted his blessings, offered prayers to any gods who specialized in miracles, and prepared to await (A) seemingly unlikely rescue, or (B) a lingering death…

Rescue takes place, but at a price – as the Antares, a cruiser dispatched to investigate the mysterious silence of a remote starbase, crosses paths with a legendary and fearsome Corsair – a man whose name sent shivers down the spines of lesser mortals.
Blachart… Blachart the Bloody.

Demonspawn” (Book 2)

Alien Meets Event Horizon: Demonspawn!

The I.S.S. Mordrake is in serious trouble – after a skirmish with a Corsair marauder, she is stranded in deep space far from regular shipping routes – and death appears certain.

…but in space, not all things are certain, not even death.

Adrift and stranded in deep space with no hope of rescue, the I.S.S. Mordrake has six months’ worth of food left, but just less than two weeks of air – and things are looking pretty grim. And, as if there’s not enough on their plate already, something dark and mysterious drifts into their path – an ancient derelict ship littered with the dusty remains of its long-dead crew! The derelict presents an all-too convenient and timely solution to their problem, offering the desperate castaways the spare parts they badly need to repair their ship… but nothing’s ever really that easy, is it? There’s no such thing as a free lunch out there, in the cold empty wastes of deep space.

Resentment, bitterness and malaise having taken hold of the survivors, the sudden possible reprieve brings new challenges – in order for the crew of the Mordrake to survive, they have to work together – even though the faceless, cold-blooded killer who brutally murdered the Mordrake’s Captain still walks freely among them! And, in spite of a further run of mysterious accidents, they must find a way to retrieve the parts they need to repair their own vessel – no matter what lay in wait for them on the derelict ship – something that seemed to want to keep them all to itself!

Dead Beckoning” (Book 3)

New Beginnings Demand Sacrifice.

For nearly a century, the fearsome Corsairs had waged a campaign of terror against the Human colonies, plundering and making travel along the space lanes that were the lifelines of the Terran Empire a risky business. The fact that while they had done so, they’d succeeded in keeping the location of their base a closely guarded secret, had become a sore point for the Terran Space Fleet.

And then, one day, quite unexpectedly, the Corsair’s maddening luck had finally ran out. The Terran fleet descended on the Corsairs home world in full force.

After nearly two days of fierce fighting, the threat appeared to have finally been neutralized. In orbit, the wreckage of the once feared Black Fleet drifted, blazing. Below, the Corsair civilization breathed its last, like a dying Phoenix waiting on its chance to be reborn… If not on Meradinis, then… somewhere else.

Like every soldier who leaves home to go to war, Adam hoped to return to the arms of his love – but Adam wasn’t exactly a soldier, and Marsha… well, Marsha wasn’t exactly standard spec either… but if he did return at all, he hoped to return to her.

Sentinel” (Book 4)

Action! Adventure! Space Opera!

The starship I.S.S. Munray is a ship crewed by a lot of ill-disciplined misfits barely one step away from another court-martial – and the Captain’s the worst of the lot! When the opportunity presents itself for Vice-Admiral Beens to rid himself of the troublesome, malingering Wynne Polluk, he jumps at the chance to introduce a new broom, in the form of one Sonia La Belle.

In order to meet the deadline, she must deal with all the obstacles in her path; an old rundown ship whose engines lie disassembled, an uncooperative senior staff, and negative hopeless crewmembers who’d probably be more at home in the stockade than running a starship! The Munray and her crew resume their life of routine space patrol – which is soon interrupted when the ship is diverted to pursue a pair of dangerous fugitives who’ve escaped from a max-security facility – one that was supposed to be escape-proof! This turns out to be an exercise which will push ship and crew – and the Captain – to their limits!

Can they overcome all the obstacles they face, track down the Corsair fugitives, and do so in time to prevent the destruction of Earth?
