News About Writing & Publishing: This Is The Current State Of Things

If you’re one of the people reading this newsletter, I’m so happy to see you! You’re part of something unique and very special to me, both as a writer and personally!

• The BIG News: I apologize for not spilling all the beans about this matter yet, but I can’t divulge anything at least until “it” – whatever “it” is, has been ultimately finalized. The date for that has been shifted to the right a few times already from end June, to where it currently lies – being around mid-August – and I’ll only be able to share my big news with you after I’ve been given the green light to do so! (Imagine how I feel about it!) As soon as I know, you’ll know! I will leave this up for as long as appropriate.
• General News: 1) Okay, I own up – you got me! I still haven’t done any writing lately! Yes, yes, I feel very bad about it, but that’s what happens to authors who have full-time jobs and are real people with real-life dramas going on in the background! Last weekend for example I spent 1 day repairing roof leaks and painting sections of roofing – and the rest of the weekend recovering from the ordeal! And of course, sometimes workdays – yes, I actually have a job – are literally just insane. Plus I’ve got a trip coming up this coming week, so I’ll be away from home for about 4 days – so things are definitely a little nuts right now. Of course, there is a bright side to not writing for a while – and that’s getting to recharge the old creative battery! Don’t fret – I’ll get back to it again sooner or later 2) While I haven’t done much writing lately, I’ve been making a lot of promotional music videos and book trailers and the like over the past few weeks, using the most amazing tools on the web – alas, the marketing aspect of being an indie author never goes away, does it? In the meantime, I also updated the blurb,  covers & poster for “Lifetime” with a new, much nicer cover image! I think it’s infinitely better than the old one! Let me know what you think in the comments!

• Articles: Two weeks back I posted “Review: Udio vs Suno – Which Is Better?” about my experiences using music generation software platforms Udio and Suno – but forgot to mention it in the last news update. Oops!

• What Readers Say: I know I can’t please everybody (so I’m not trying to!). That said, it pleases me when I see that I’ve managed to please at least some people (hopefully you’re counted among them)! If there’s nothing new below, just pop along here to have a look at all the reader’s comments I’ve collected so far.
